April reflections, life currently, & a must-read.
One year ago, I started this Substack. I was newly pregnant. I was finishing up a school year teaching third grade, uncertain whether I would return in the fall (I didn’t). I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that an entire year has gone by. Our baby boy is four, almost five, months old! Wasn’t he just a tiny newborn? Weren’t we just preparing for his arrival? Time has felt so weird to me ever since giving birth. As he has gotten a little older and more active, I have loved the days spent playing with him and going for walks, but I have found it a bit challenging to continue writing and posting to my blog as I used to. However, I am going to try keeping up with it as best as I can, and allowing it to evolve as it may. I do have two posts this month…
